Pine Rivers Heritage Museum wants your help to host an exciting history program for youngsters.

Residents are encouraged to volunteer to be part of a fun, creative and immersive history excursion for local Year 1 students.

“Volunteering is an exciting way to build your confidence, learn new skills and gain valuable work experience in the cultural and education industries,” Cr Denise Sims (Div 7) said.

“The Pine Rivers Heritage Museum needs volunteers to assist with a variety of historical activities; from making real butter and playing historic games to dancing to rock and roll music and leading a 1950s classroom lesson.

“Volunteers have the opportunity to dress up in costume and play a character or provide off-stage support while assisting staff with the set-up, delivery and pack down of activities.

“This is a great opportunity to connect with the community and make new friends. If you want to help others while having a blast, this is the perfect position for you.”

Applicants must be available from March through to October with shifts typically held from Tuesdays to Fridays from 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Full training is provided, and everyone is welcome, regardless of your age or experience. Applications close on Friday, 28 February 2020.
