Mayor Peter Flannery said Park Vibes continues to get bigger and better every year.

“We’re shaking off the 2020-blues with an awesome line-up of events make sure 2021 starts with a bang,” Mayor Flannery said.

“These kinds of events are vital to kickstarting economic activity for local businesses, especially our tourism, arts and hospitality sectors who were some of the hardest hit during the pandemic.

“I can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Pine Rivers Park for an afternoon of amazing live music, mouth-watering food and a whole lot of fun.

“Park Vibes truly has something for everyone, so make sure you invite all your friends and family to come along, support local business and join in the fun.”

Kids can run wild in the dedicated kid’s zone, with free rides and activities to suit all ages.

Take your pick from an array of international cuisines and was it down with a trip to the pop-up bar featuring local brewers and distillers.

Bring your picnic blanket to watch a spectacular line-up of performers, including the headlining all-rounder eight-piece Baker Boys Band, and don’t miss the big fireworks finale at 8pm.

Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) Chairman Mr Shane Newcombe was excited to bring back this free entry event for the local community.

“This is an event for the whole family and this year’s program will be sure to draw people from across the Moreton Bay Region and beyond,” Mr Newcombe said.

“Event goers will have plenty of choice when it comes to deciding what to have for dinner. Choosing between something from one of the three Food Zones, United plates of America, Tastes of Asia and Flavours of Europe, or better yet, sampling something from each!”

“I look forward to bringing them together to enjoy a free afternoon of quality entertainment.”

Division 8 Councillor Mick Gillam said he’s excited to welcome locals and visitors back to Pine Rivers Park.

“We were counting our lucky stars last year when Park Vibes was held just weeks before the pandemic,” he said.

“I’m still so grateful we can host these events for our locals to enjoy an afternoon out and showcase some fantastic local businesses.

“Make sure you register to get your free event tickets so you can skip the sign-in queue on the day and jump straight into the action and entertainment.

“There’ll be onsite parking available for $5 with proceeds donated to local community groups, so all you need to do is grab your tickets, pack your family and friends into the car and come down for a great day out.”

This COVID Safe event will be run in accordance with a Queensland Health approved COVID Safe event plan. Capacity numbers will be capped for this event and contact tracing for each patron will be recorded.

Park Vibes is proudly presented by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) and support by Moreton Bay Regional Council.
